Returning Snow School Instructor

The returning instructor will provide quality ski/snowboard instruction to groups and individuals in a safe and fun way.

Responsabilities

• Maintains the highest level of guest safety on varied terrain in varying winter weather conditions
• Clearly and accurately instructs assigned levels of skiing or snowboarding to students, both physically and verbally
• Ensures that students are assigned to the appropriate level of skiing or snowboarding, and work with supervisors/managers to make appropriate adjustments as needed
• Assists guests with equipment transport and chairlift loading and unloading
• Supervises children in lessons at all times; assist at lunch and snack times; ensure return of children to designated guardians (Children's Instructors only)
• Assists with operational responsibilities of Snow School programs including but not limited to registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting source, maintaining outdoor teaching areas and cleanliness of facilities (Children's Instructors only)
• Attends weekly orientation meetings

With the current labor shortage, employees may be asked to take on other responsibilities not directly related to their current position. Versatility to meet new challenges is essential to the smooth running of the organization.

Qualifications

Ski: Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance (CSIA) or PESA Level 1 valid certification

Snowboard: Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) or PEPN Level 1 valid certification

Required skills

Must be fluent in all aspects of the English and French language (spoken and written). Third language: an asset
